Document Checklist for Canadian Business Financing
Canada Business Loan is a marketplace, not a lender. The documents a provider requests depend on the product, the business, and the provider’s own criteria. The list below covers items commonly requested. Prepare what you have; missing items do not automatically disqualify you.
Business identity
- Business registration or articles of incorporation.
- Business number (BN) or GST/HST account confirmation.
- Ownership structure (shareholders or partners).
Financial statements
- Recent financial statements (profit & loss, balance sheet) if available.
- Bank statements for the last 3–6 months.
- Accounts receivable aging if relevant to the request.
Purpose and cash flow
- Clear description of the financing need and how funds will be used.
- Rough cash-flow projection or repayment capacity notes.
- Existing debt schedule if any.
No single set of documents guarantees approval. Providers decide eligibility, rates, and terms. Start with an inquiry to see what a specific provider needs.
