Canada Small Business Financing Program calculator

CSBFP financing is provided and approved by financial institutions. CBL helps you understand potential options; this calculator assesses a few published limits, not a lender’s full requirements.

Explore a CSBFP term-loan scenario

Use a rate from a provider or your own scenario. No live prime rate or lender quote is assumed. This calculator does not submit information.

Programme government coverage can last up to 15 years; a longer amortization is a separate lender arrangement and may leave a balance at the end of coverage. Source rules reviewed 2026-09-30.

Read the programme limits correctly

  • The combined ceiling is $1.15 million: up to $1 million in term loans plus $150,000 in a line of credit.
  • The term-loan non-property portion is capped at $500,000. Within it, intangible assets and working capital have a $150,000 sublimit. These are nested limits, not separate amounts to add together.
  • Financed registration fees count within applicable limits. Existing CSBFP borrowing can reduce remaining room.
  • The floating-rate ceiling is the lender’s prime plus 3 percentage points for term loans and prime plus 5 for lines of credit. Fixed-term pricing uses a different lender reference. A ceiling is not an offered rate or APR.
